Can you give us some insight into any upcoming promotions or new products or services you are about to announce?
STARTLOGIC is expecting to launch a non-branded reseller control panel (coming very soon). This will allow resellers to brand their own control panel under "their" name, instead of the hosting provider's name.
It will give Resellers the look and feel of running their own web hosting company-without shedding the cost of running a business. Plus we have acquired an Affiliate Manager, Justin Reynolds, who administers our reseller and affiliate accounts, handles our upcoming promotions......and ensures that our affiliates are paid out on time : )
How do you think problems like spyware, viruses, and SPAM will effect the growth of the internet and web hosting over the next couple of years?
One of the first questions we get asked by our customers is "what do you guys use to prevent spam?"
STARTLOGIC has System Administrators on hand 24/7 to monitor our servers to prevent spyware, viruses, and SPAM from interfering with our customers' web sites. Our qualified IT professionals use state-of-art equipment, enhanced hardware, and proprietary software to avoid the chances of having our servers compromised.
Spyware, viruses, and SPAM are well-know security threats that continue to infect home computers, and although the Government has intervened in the fight against spam, the war on stopping malicious scripts that execute spyware and viruses are far from ending. Hosting companies and internet service providers must rely on their IT professionals to prevent these malicious scripts from entering their data centers.
What other factors do you think will significantly impact the hosting world?
Outsourcing! Several companies are outsourcing their service to India, which results in language barriers- which then puts a restraint on the service they can provide.
STARTLOGIC keeps their service in-house and has no plans of offering technical support overseas. We believe the service we provide our customers is worth more than the dollars you save from outsourcing.
How does StartLogic thrive in such a competitive business as web hosting? We thrive on competition! It only took us 14-months in business to overstep our competitors-some of which were in business for over five years. We vie to become the best in the industry by thinking BIG. We started as a small hosting company in Mesa, Arizona in a 350-square-foot office.
Today we own a 20,000-square-foot building and our own Data Center in Downtown Phoenix, Arizona.
As the GM of a successful Internet company, what is the one thing that makes you jump out of bed in the morning?
Bagel Thursday! A STARTLOGIC tradition: Bagels are delivered to our door step every Thursday morning to anxiously awaiting employees.
On the other hand, what is the one thing that keeps you up at night?
The competition! From web hosting forums to web hosting review sites, I search endlessly to keep ahead of the competition and to advance our customer service in all aspects of web hosting!
What do you see as the largest growth areas in web hosting and how is StartLogic positioning itself to take advantage of them?
