Many investors fleeing the stock market after the bubble burst several years ago jumped into real estate. This has led real estate, along with low interest rates, on a run that now has a lot of people worried that there is another bubble looming. This leaves the question of where do I put my money now? Do I go back to the stock market or keep pumping it into real estate? Do I go for Bonds?

Most people don’t consider the Internet and websites as an investment option. Maybe it is time to pioneer the IIT, Internet Investment Fund. The Stock Market has had Mutual Funds for years. Real estate has had REIT’s(Real Estate Investment Trust Funds) for years. Websites are pieces of property on the internet just like a house or company. Currently the going rate for purchasing a website is 12-15 months of Revenue with expenses usually being a 30% or less of revenues. This investment will pay itself off in less then 2 years and provide a solid revenue stream to reinvest.

Much like an REIT where investors pool money and hire real estate brokers and property managers to buy and manage a group of properties, in an IIT investors would hire webmasters to buy and manage a network of websites. They can pick a vertical market and purchase a group of profitable websites in that market. Properly managed this network of sites can easily make 10 percent of the total investment monthly to start with.

I guess the marriage between webmasters and investment money is a little further then in the other 2 markets. It seems like there are opportunities for savy webmasters with investor backing to buy up a small network and manage it for an excellent ROI. There are many websites making in the thousands/month that can be married into a nice network that enhances the revenues of each.
